Evalynn Barbare started as Director of Children's Ministries in the fall of 2026. Evalynn has worked with children collectively 7 years in her adult life, wearing hats of a Counselor and Assistant Director for an after-school care program and an Education Specialist at the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry, despite her Bachelor's degree in Geology.
Evalynn has a passion for working with Children, making sure that they feel safe, seen, and heard all the while encouraging them to find and use their voice. She supports curiosity and imagination at its finest!
Evalynn believes that God has simultaneously closed and opened doors and windows, all guiding her to this role here at TUMC. She looks forward to building connections with children and their families, and encouraging connections throughout the Church.
